At the end of every month we read every nomination and pick one coach. It's not a vote, and it's not about the record.

The coach gets a feature on our Instagram and a spot on this page, and the team gets a graphic to share.
Nominate a coach
Head or assistant, paid or volunteer, any sport. Nominations for November close at 11:59 pm on Saturday, October 31, and we announce the coach on Tuesday, November 3.
We reach out to the coach before we post anything. Your email and phone stay with us, and we only quote your nomination, with your first name, if you check the box.

Coaches of the Month
Our first Coach of the Month is announced Tuesday, November 3. Nominations for it close October 31.
The rules
Who can be nominated?
Any head or assistant coach, paid or volunteer, of a youth, middle school, high school, club or college team on the North Shore or around Greater Boston. Any sport.
Who can nominate?
Parents, guardians, athletes 13 and older, fellow coaches, athletic directors and league officials.
When does each month close?
Nominations close at 11:59 pm on the last day of each month. We announce the coach in the first week of the next month.
How is the coach picked?
Rival picks from the stories. Sending more nominations doesn't add chances, but a second story from a different person helps us see the whole picture. Strong nominations carry over to later months, and a coach can win once in any 12 months.
What if the coach doesn't want to be featured?
We reach out to the coach before we post anything. If they'd rather not be featured, we pick another coach.
What do you post about me?
Only your nomination, with your first name, and only if you check the box. We never post your email or phone number.
What about photos of the team?
Photos follow our photo policy: no athlete 12 or under is posted without a written OK from a parent, the team or the coach. People who work for Rival and their families can't win.
